Typically, there are two types of fun sports betting wagers that a person can make. The first type of sports wagering is a money line bet, which is also considered a "straight up" bet. The second type is a point spread bet.

Sports betting that use money lines are based on odds. Often times a bookmaker will set up the odds of the match or game, such as 2 to 1 odds, and people can place their bets accordingly.
